It’s pretty much vintage, but I love crochet doilys – just for meditation đ And made with bright, vivid colors, they are far from grandma style. This one is following a free tutorial by Priscilla Hewitt.Â

I don’t suppose you have a print version of this beautiful pattern?

I love this pineapple doily. Can you tell me what kind of Omega yarn you are using. I have replayed your video several times but did not understand the type og omega yarn you used. I have tried crocheting doilys with omega that read size 10 and am having a hard time. This yarn looks a little bigger. Thank you.
WHAT KIND OF OMEGA YARN YOU ARE USING?

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT TYPE OF OMEGA YARN SHE USED IN MAKING THE PINEAPPLE DOILY. IT LOOKS HEAVIER THAN OMEGA THREAD SIZE 10.
Thank you.

When you start this tutorial, you say to make 3 „turning chains“ followed by three chains.
How do I make a turning chain? Never heard of it before.
Thanks and kind regards,
Jason

Dear Jason,
a „turning chain“ is a „simple“ chain replacing a stitch. You need to gain height for continuing – let’s say – with double crochets. So for a double crochet at the beginning of a row, you replace this by THREE turning chains, replacing a first single crochet you work ONE turning chain, replacing a first half double crochet, you work TWO turning chains and so on…

Hello!
I’ve made this pattern several times, but always using the videos as guidance. I’m making another now, but I’m at my parents‘, where the Internet isn’t great. That having been said, I’m with the other person who requested the written pattern. I that a possibility ever?
Thanks so very much!
Elle
